Clicked file>save>save video and named it with the avi extension. *make sure to delete any keyframes that are there except for the very first one*ġ1. Clicked the “A” button to set beginning of selection of the keyframe, then hit the → key on the keyboard to advance to the end of the frame, then clicked the “B” button to set ending of selection of the keyframe. Clicked the > button to get to the second keyframe (marked with an “I” under “frame type”.ġ0. Clicked file>append and the second exported vid clip.ĩ. Opened avidemux and clicked file>open and the first exported vid clip.Ĩ. Exported the vid clip, then chose another clip from the same movie and exported it.ħ. Clicked “configure” and set: “encoder” to mpeg-4, "fourcc" to divx, and “mode” to two passes - 1st pass.Ħ. Checked “Force Keyframes Every” and typed a high number in the box (like 9999999).ĥ. (If you don’t have ffdshow you should get it).Ĥ. Selected ffdshow video codec from the selections on the left. ![]() Went to “compression” settings under the “video” tab. Downloaded avidemux (you need virtualdub too if you don’t already have it)ģ. ![]() I checked the youtube tutorials for mac users and used trial and error to apply the steps to virtualdub and eventually figured it out. I searched fairly thoroughly for a datamoshing (that weird distortion effect that you see on some gifs and videos where things pixellate and blend together) tutorial that concerns virtualdub/pc and could not find one.
